To ensure the utmost quality in our translation projects, we rely on three key factors:

NATIVE TRANSLATORS

Our translations are always done by a translator who is a native speaker of the target language. A translator who only translates into his or her mother tongue and who is fluent in both languages of the combination in question, as well as specialised in the project’s field.

NATIVE SPEAKERS SPECIALISED IN THE FIELD

All our projects are assigned to the native translator with the highest level of specialisation in the required field. Our translators are classified by specialisation and are selected on the basis of their qualifications, specialisation and accredited professional experience.

TRANSLATION, PROOFREADING AND INTERNAL REVIEW

All projects are revised by our Project Managers. Clients have the option of requesting an additional proofreading step by a second native speaker. During the internal revision, we check the correct use of terminology, the application of subject glossaries, the client’s own style guides and the format for delivery, following the client’s original files.

All our services are provided under the controls established by a Quality Management System approved by Bureau Veritas Certification. Overseas Translations is driven by quality and all our projects involve at least two phases: translation and internal review:

PRE-PRODUCTION

Receipt of the request and feasibility study
Quotation preparation
Client’s confirmation
Processing client’s information related to the project
Preparation of the project (document analysis and identification of the content)

PRODUCTION

Preparation of the glossary and style guide (if applicable)
Assignment of linguistic resources (native speaker of the target language and specialisation in the sector)
Translation
Self-checking (proofreading by the translator)
Revision (by a second native speaker according to ISO 17100:2015)
Internal quality control and delivery
