Sworn translation is any translation that is considered official and legally valid, carried out by a sworn translator duly authorised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) after passing an exam accrediting his skills.
A sworn translator certifies that the translation is faithful to the original and makes it acceptable for presentation before any public body.
Sworn translations can be delivered on paper, signed and stamped by the sworn translator, or they can also be sent with an electronic signature for online submission.
All documents to be presented before public authorities must be translated by a sworn translator.

We recommend that you check with the public body that requests the documentation in question to find out what type of translation you need. It鈥檚 important that they confirm whether or not they need sworn translation, as well as the legalisations or apostilles that the documents must contain.
